A chimney is exposed to the elements and is particularly vulnerable to high winds. If gaps in the mortar of the chimney are starting to appear then it is probably time to get it inspected. At the extreme the chimney can collapse so don’t ignore signs of cracks. Chimneys can be close to the edge of a hip roof or in the middle of the roof on the ridge.
You may also have have a damp issue in or around the chimney area within your property. If this is the case, the water might be leaking in from the cracks in the mortar. If you are unsure of where the damp is coming from, ask us to inspect it for you.
What we give you is the complete inspection of the chimney stack, the required scaffolding and all materials required to complete the process. We are also very clean and tidy in what we do so you will not be left with mess and debris on the roof.
Whilst the scaffolding is up, we can inspect your chimney pot and your chimney liner if you have one, just to make sure all is well. We will inform you of any wear and tear and the condition so you know for the future.
The scaffolding is erected by a professional scaffolding company who are experianced in what they do and are fully trained and licenced. We are also insured for working at the required heights.
